I get asked a lot of questions by clients. Some more than others so I thought I'd make an easy, almost, FAQ on the top questions I get regarding booking me for voiceover work.
Here we go in no particular order...
Q: What's your turnaround time?
A:Usually within a few hours. Of course, it depends on the length of the script and project but if left to my own devices I can usually get audio back to you within a couple hours.
Q: How many takes do I get?
A: 3
Q: Do you do any editing or mastering?
A: If asked, I will. And if it's not too long of a project, I usually don't charge. Audiobooks are different though as editing and mastering is a part of the narrating/voicing gig. "Comes wit the territory!"
Q: How will you deliver the audio?
A: Smaller audio files I'll just send via email. Bigger files I send through wetransfer.com or if you have a google drive you prefer I can upload there.
Q: Can I get some pickups if there's a change in the script or addition?
A: Yep. I don't charge for the first 2 pickups. After that there will be a charge.
Q: What do you charge for voiceover?
A: I go by the non-union standard that most people rely on which is the GVAA rate card. You can also fill out my 'rate request' form on my website.
If you’re working on a project, I’d be thrilled to send you a quick custom sample. That way, you can hear how I’d tackle your script.
