Man, I don't like going places.
Ever since pursuing voice acting full time, I've been working from home.
Rarely do I need to leave the house for my voiceover career. Occasionally, the local recording studio will have a job for me which will require me to get in the car and drive about 10 miles down the road. It doesn't happen hardly at all so I'm pretty much home all the time.
A far cry from my days doing radio. I'd get up early every morning, get in the vehicle and drive the 1 mile or so to the radio studio to do my morning radio show. On average, about every 2 weeks I'd have to drive somewhere else for the job (remote broadcast, etc.)
But now...I'm home.
That's why when you have weeks like I've had this week where I had to go 2 separate times to the Apple Store (about 20 minute drive away), once to the dentist office, plus a couple runs to the UPS store, add to that the usual morning dropoff and afternoon pickup of Mabel from school and it seems like a 'busy week.'
It's all relative right?
I'm grateful that I don't have to drive to work everyday. Especially when I hear about people living an hour away from their daily job.
YEESH!
I guess what I'm saying is that relish your situation 'cause it could always be worse right?
